In April 2023, following a ballot of members, the Club was incorporated as Padeswood & Buckley Golf Club Ltd run by a Board of Directors. Each Director is elected for an initial 3-year term of office, at the end of which the Director may seek re-election for a further 3-year term.

Mark Stewart

Board Chairman & Interim Director of Greens

Mark has been a member of our Club for over 20 years. He led the Governance Review which led to the transformation of the club to an incorporated limited company.  He has substantial experience in General Management, Health and Safety, HR and Chairing and being part of many Company Boards.

Kate Fox-Parry

Director of Events, House & Hospitality

Kate, who is a retired primary school head teacher, joined the club as a junior in 1971.  She has served on Council, Greens, Ladies and Match & Handicap committees over many years.

She will work with the bar and catering teams to ensure that our dining experiences and time spent in the bar are positive and enjoyable for all.

Additionally, her role is to ensure that there are Match & Handicap and Social Committees in place and that an Events Team is established to plan, implement and promote special and major club events.

Mal Owens

Secretary & Treasurer

Mal has a background in IT.  He has been active in the club for many years including a long spell on the Greens Committee. His role is to run the office, manage operational issues, regularly review practices, control the Club finances and work with our accountants to produce annual accounts.

Steve Griffiths

Director of Membership & Marketing

Steve has been a member of the club for 30 years. Now retired, he has worked in the UK financial services sector, including posts as Marketing Director for Swinton Insurance and Halifax Bank.

His primary responsibilities are to promote the club to potential visitors, new members and sponsors and to ensure there is effective engagement with existing members. He will also ensure regular review of the Club's website and social media presence and manage the collection and collation of members' views on specific topics of interest.

Nathan Brearley

Director of Golf Operations

Nathan has been an active member of the club for over 20 years. His work as a physical education teacher in Denbigh has given him experience of sports management and safeguarding. 

He will oversee all Golf Operations.  This includes looking at style and structure of future competitions, making Opens more attractive to both members and visitors and overseeing the competition diary.
